Leash Your Pets NO Regrets!

This is the 2022 Bronze Award Project for Houston-based Troop 125076. Our mission is to keep our community safe by advocating for leash use. We want to educate Houstonians with 7 reasons why dogs should be on a leash, existing leash laws and nice places to walk dogs.

7 Reasons

Leash Laws

Nice Places

  1. Your dog could seriously injure a person or another dog.
  2. If your dog hurts someone, you could get sued.
  3. Your dog could run away.
  4. If your dog runs away, it could get injured or worse.
  5. If your dog runs away, it could also get lost.
  6. There are fines if your is not on a leash.
  7. Someone else could take your dog.
  • The first place you should consider walking your dog is the Columbia Tap Rail Trail. At this park you can see churches, Texas Southern University and native trees. If you or your dog gets tired, there are many benches around the trail.
  • The next park you should consider going to is Sandy Reed Memorial Trail. Prepare yourself for the scenery! You will see so many beautiful trees and birds. Please remember to keep your dog on a short leash.
  • The next park that you should consider going to is the Outer Loop Park at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center. Enjoy a fresh walk in the park without even leaving the city!
